Didn't make it out, BUT...

Well, hope that I didn't miss too much today (Sunday). Due to family having other plans, I didn't get to make it up to the lake.

The good news is, I will be taking dad up in the late morning. Hoping I don't have any problems getting out of Catawba SP, but my 20' aluminum Mirrocraft rides pretty high in the water and I can trim up the outboard pretty high, so it's gonna have to be pretty bad to give me a headache.

Any tips on where I might get on some perch coming out of Catawba SP and not running terribly far?

This is my first time out of Catawba SP (newbie I be).

Was kicking around the idea of trying around the can just west of the SP. Also, "G" can of the firing range. Initially was thinking out around Green Island and Rattlesnake, but not sure if will be too deep up around that area for the best bite?
