Fished with the wife today. Pulled 6 eater eyes. North of C can. RR 100-120 back. 2.3-2.6 GPS. Bare Naked pulled most fish. Then ran into *1/2 mile north Niagara reef and picked up 2 limits of perch on crappie rigs. Just pick it up off the bottom and fish on. Took 2.5 hours. Very little trash. 16lbs at cleaners
I'm just starting out fishing Lake Erie. Saginaw Bay is the walleye water that I'm familiar. But I'm still new to the locations that are referred to in this post. Where is the C can and the Niagara Reef? I'm guessing that your dropping your lines somewhere in the eastern part of the lake. Just trying to get these areas down so I know the places to hopefully have a little better success.
They are referring to the western end. the cans are the camp Perry firing range markers. niagra is a reef.
Half pole is correct. This is my 4th year on lake erie. There seems to be there has been nice pods of fish in the western basin all year unlike the 3 previous years that I have been on erie or I just couldn't find them before. Maybe some guys on here with more expirence can speak to that.Quote:
