we been doing okay on Perch at Bouy13 in the channel .. will be out Sunday ,going out of town tomorrow.
Where would Perch be this at now ? And how would you set up for them ? Spreaders and shiners ?
Yes spreaders or perch - crappie rigs. I've heard a few good reports of nice perch around b can area.
Dumb question but where the heck is Bouy 13 haha. Is that in the Toledo shipping channel ?
Fished yesterday around sugar island, ballast reef area. Not a large bucket by any means. But fishin was good. Used green bladed spreaders, bite was light, best bite was a jiggin motion.A great weekend to be out for sure, Mike
It was slow !!! Started out of Catawba went east of niagra caught 1 yellow perch then went to B can caught 2 perch there then was running back to green for walleye and stopped again at niagra and people all around us were gettin them casting harnesses but we just couldn't get them to go so we busted out the big sticks and burnt some gas, our best lead was 30 jets 90 back with gold and black spoon 1.9 -2.1 mph managed to pick up a 28 inch 9lbs fish and enough to eat lunch.
Buoy 13 is two buoy out from the light house on the Ohio side along the shipping channel, that is a good Perch spot most all of the time.
After many hours of casting and the only one hooked ( got off at the boat ), I gave up the walleye battle and switched to Perch.
D-Can served up some nice Perch. I'll settle for that.
Anyone else find the perch ?
