Thanks for the message. This is only my second year fishing for walleye so this forum has been a great help. Is lead core very common trolling for walleye? I have been using mostly divers to get down to the fish.
lead core is old school, personally, i would stay away from it. go dipseys and boards or flat line it. I know wakina dont pull lead core as he is out west in the shallow stuff. Your best bet is to do like all the others are to catch them. Dont let someone give you bad info..!:D

I have run lead core from Buffalo to the Ohio Islands, lead core is a huge part of my program. I will run 3-5 colors in the shallower waters of the western basin and 3-10 colors around my home waters in Ny State depending on how deep we are fishing. Don't ever discount lead core as an old school technique, I will run lead core over dipsys any day. I'm a Prostaffer for Torpedo Divers and have eliminated my dipsy program using the Torpedo Divers, they are so much easier to use.
whitecapper is right I don't use lead core line. I posted the link for information purposes only and not as any form of recomendation or advice!
It was posted for any of you to read if you would like to read it. To use or not to use Mr Mark Romanack's information would be your personal choice.
Is it good information or bad information? That would be for each individual to determine. Just a reminder that he has made a fortune selling advice as well as information in his Precision Trolling Bible, a book that comes highly recomended by some of the best fishermen on Lake Erie.
