Thinking of heading over {Fenwicks} tomorrow and Thursday, anyone fishing the Crane Creek stretch?
We trolled from A-can to Crane Creek pulling meat on 7/15 no takers, Sat and Sun we were 11 miles out of Turtle Creek ne of the island and had 12 by noon on sat and 6 by 11:00 on sun came on gold and purple or copper and purple. 2 oz 75 back
Man the eyes should be in there right now.
Stopped at B-can on Saturday on my way back from NE of the Island and caught only 4 perch but the trollers were catching eyes all around me, drift and casters were getting a few also. But who knows now, can't report from my marina friends as I had to come home for a few days!
Heading out of T. C. Friday afternoon checking out Crane before going north, anybody have any new info? I am on ch-9 if you want to exchange info, also be there sat and sun morning. Thanks
Go north, we tried it Wed. eve from 7 to 10 oclock and ended up with three keepers, did lose a real good one at the boat. Tried again for a short while Thursday morn but couldn't find them. Headed out to the gravel pit and had a 5 man limit in 3 hrs. Rattle tots and Killer B's 90 back, one of the guys caught a sheepie and a walleye on the same bait!! Would post pics but the heat fried my camera as well as the crew.
Thanks Kodiak
Heading up next Thursday. Anyone have numbers to the gravel pit that Kodiak is talking about? I think its 41.45.000 83.14.000 but not sure.
It's quite a large area apx.30 degrees 6 miles or so out of Cooley Canal(Anchor Pt.) Nice report!
