Fairport nearshore walleye

I put some time in over the last week fishing close in as the fish should have been there and evenings after work do not leave much time to run deep. I was able to get 19 walleyes and enough sheephead/white bass to keep things very busy. Most were from the 2003 hatch but 3 fish were 27"-29" & 2-3 were 18"-20" which bodes well for future years. They generally came off of clown & watermelon stingers w/ 30-40 jets pulled by big boards. 2-3 came off of the big dipsey 65'-75' out in 40'-45' of water off of the lagoons. I am going to try deeper this weekend to hopefully replace the sheephead with steelhead and hopefully end up with more walleyes per trip.
