Perch off Lorain

Went out for perch today. The early morning was a little slow but it picked up around 9am when the sun came out of the clouds. Tried in close first but the water was still dirty. Went out about 3 1/2 miles to find clean water. 31.3 11.6 in 49FOW. The perch were tight to the bottom. I used a crappie rig and most bites came when I lifted it just off the bottom. Had my limit by 1145. No other boats around me. Most of the fish were females that had already spawned. 3lbs 10oz. of meat. Hope this helps some of you find some perch.
