Any good places on the west end of the lake (Ohio side) to fish and stay clear of the weather. NWS has small craft advisory out for tomorrow and I have an 18 footer deep v. Didn't know if there were any safe places out there where a guy might get lucky. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Lots of good places to launch, but not many that elude the weather. One option is to consider using the islands as cover to break up big waves, but you gotta get there first. Catawaba is very exposed, Muzricks is a nice ramp but also exposed. Consider Sandusky Bay area but I do not know of a ramp there. Sorry.
Further west you have Fenwick and Metzgers Marsh. Protected ramps, but exposed to any west, north, or east winds. South winds you can still fish
Dempsey Wildlife area on the east side of marblehead has launch ramps into Sandusky Bay. The area is approximately 3 miles inland from the main lake by water. (between Johnson island and Southbeach resort)

Just a thought you may be able to catch a fairy over its pricey but you and your gear will be a lot more comfortable and can fish the island all day and not worry about the ride back
