10-5 Perch Report

Three of us got 79 perch at the buoy off of Catawba today. We started at 9:30 and didn’t catch a keeper fish for the first half hour. Then from 10-12:30 we caught 54 perch. The bite died down and we caught 25 more in the last 2.5 hours. The biggest perch was 11.5 inches and we had 10-15 perch that were at least 10.5 inches. We had to sort through them a bit, I’d say we threw back between 20-30 perch. The quality of fish seems to be getting better and better as the water temp continues to drop.
