Weather between Kelley's and Huron on Saturday the 16th.
I cancelled a proposed trip today due to forecasts on NOAA Open Waters site, Accuweather and Iwindsurf. The 51% of rain, with possible thundershowers, didn't pan out here at home. Did it rain out on the lake between Kelleys and Huron, today, Saturday? Which forecast is the best? Is there a better source? I hate to lose opportunities to fish. Any suggestions, besides "go out and see"?

I fished out of Huron Saturday morning.... weather was great, although we didn't launch until 8:00. I think there was some rain in the area earlier. Had about a 1-foot chop until about 10:00, then it was basically flat until 2:00 when we went in. I'm not the weather app expect, but have found the iwindsurf app to be pretty accurate, but you need to keep checking it as it changes often. Unfortunately for us, the fishing was a bit of a struggle, but better then sitting at home - even with the 3 hour one-way drive.

I use the weather.com for radar includes future 5 hour forecast.
I use Windy app for winds which is also Windy.com.
I use the NOAA only for buoy 45005 information. The NOAA on the radio I only use for firing range closures.
These have been very reliable for me over the last 4 years or so.
