09/24 - 26 Weekend weather
Just looked at the wind forecast. Yuck. First weekend I've had in five weeks to get up, and the forecast through Friday late afternoon is ... mostly crap. High north winds on Wednesday followed by high southwest winds on Thursday. Gusts for periods near 40mph both days. Doesn't lay down to 15mph until Friday afternoon and that lasts (12-17mph) through Saturday, same direction, SW. Lake should be all churned up, real turbid. Sunday and Monday look good, low winds, little or no rain.
Will wait until Thursday evening to decide when / if to go up.

Cold front moving in from the North should get that water temperature moving down. I'm waiting for WT 67 degrees before I make my 3 hour trip. Want to troll for walleye East of Kelly's 1 day and try for perch another day before time runs out.

Worse than yesterday forecast. Gusts up to 50mph. Both Miller and Jet Express ferrys not operating.
With wind shift tomorrow and not much less winds, Lake will most likely be really murked up. Fishing will probably be tough this weekend. Fish all scattered and in survival mode. Maybe Sunday will be good.

Re: 09/24 - 26 Weekend weather
We did really well last fall in the Western Basin starting in October and going all the way through December. We even had a few more weeks after that with good fishing in LSC. We caught a nice 2-man limit + some C&R on January 18th. So "before time runs out" should be a ways off, at least I certainly hope so.

What a mess. Almost a repeat of the Memorial Day Big Wind.

I was looking at that image yesterday. Unless it changes I'll be East of South Bass or maybe Kelly's Tuesday.

I was east of KI yesterday. A rear end of fish on both my finders. No luck trolling, gold erie dearies were the ticket drifting.
