Fishing report 5/7

Before the wind really started blowing...we managed to pick up a few fish trolling ~2 miles south of PIB. Some pretty good marks however. We moved on to make a troll heading east between North and Middle Bass. If lining up to make this pass, the sonar was solid of fish probably 1/2 mile back to the west. Anyway, very good marks and fishing despite the waves building to a solid 5' by this time. All caught on bandits, with chrome mixed in with either purple or green. ~50-65' back. Although I think some may have been caught in ~40' back zone too. Speed was tough to control with the wave conditions, but tried to keep it under 2mph. Thanks.

Thanks for the report Captain. Hopefully this weather will break soon and allow more of us to get out.

I referenced PIB because that was the general atoN I had selected in that area given the wave conditions and trolling direction, which ultimately took us to an area almost between Green and PIB (which picked fish as well). So, to be very general ~2 miles south of PIB/Green in that area. I'd say approximately between mouse and PIB, favoring PIB. Of course who knows today, but if heading out again this week (out of Catawba) I'd be heading North of Rattle and between North/Middle Bass based on the massive amount of marks and active bite.

Ditto on weather...geez!
