7/15 am trip with a couple from West Virginia
Wow Wow and Wow did we have a great trip Monday morning with a really nice couple from West Virginia. When the husband called he said they had a bad trip in the outer-banks not catching any fish. He said he just wanted his wife to be able to catch some fish. Boy did she ever, 31”, 26”, 28” some great fish. They had a blast and so did I. They said they will be back again in the fall to fish some more. We fished the weather buoy in 60 foot of water and found some great fish. We ran bandits 50/100 and 50/125 with 2oz and jet 40's 85 to 90 back with phantom Dagger #7's at 2.5 to 3mph. We caught fish before the second line was out, it was that kind of day. When they got tired of trolling we moved in over the south end of the dump and drifted and cast weapons rigs and the caught some walleye with the rod in hand and also a big channel catfish. super trip, super people and super fishing doesn't get much better.
