The ODNR has just released their results of the 2018 walleye and perch hatch and they are exceptional.The walleye hatch numbers are almost twice as many as the great 2015 hatch.The perch numbers are also good.Saw a graft of the results on Captain Eric Eye Catchers facebook page.The good old days of fishing on Erie are here again!!
Great news. This is now posted on the ODNR web site. And the perchin was outstanding this morning. 1 mile south of G can. Fast, fat, and furious. 13 pounds at cleaners. Maybe the heaviest limit I ever had.

by the time the fish from previous hatches start getting low the fish from this hatch will be legal. the fishing this yr was nothing short of amazing. when the fish from this hatch gets to legal fishing should be beyond amazing. great news for all of us that fishes the big beautiful waters of erie.
