Sand bar shift

Witnessed several boats ... including my own run aground on the sand bar across from cedar point this weekend ..... take it very wide coming around the marker to the Sandusky bay .... I have a Penn Yan with tunnel drive ... had to be less than 3 feet deep
I have taken that route for years now and never hit the bottom... luckily I wasn’t going fast
I witnessed another boat hit it at cruising speed

Thanks for the information. That sand bar keeps moving out past the marker. Need to give it a football field of room past the large piling.
