Tree Out of Turtle Creek - Be careful
Careful out there with recent rain and floods.
Went NW out of Turtle Creek this evening. There is a big tree floating that area, don't know maybe 3-4 miles or a couple of more out By big I mean maybe 60-70 foot long and maybe 18-24 inch diameter. (With a brand new 200 hp motor, I wasn't going to get any wheres near close enough to measure). It is not a log, it is a tree!
Saw several other floaters too including two logs, either of which could do mega damage to a boat bottom. The one was maybe a foot in diameter floating vertically with only a foot or so out of the water. Who knows how much was underneath and we didn't see it till almost on it.
