North of Crane Creek
With all the boats in the area, kinda surprised no reports. For the last few weeks we've been fishing the area SW of A-can down to Crane Creek with ok results. Seems like most of the little fish are north of 21fow, with most guys catching over a 100 to keep 10. I've been fishing as shallow as 14fow in front of Metzger's and seem to get a better average of keepers along with some really big catfish and not too much junk. Today we started in about 17fow running bandits on 1 side and crawler harnesses on the other, pulled 1 on a bandit at 60 back and 2 on worms 40 back on the first pass, then the worm bite picked up and swapped out the bandits for worms. Made I think 3 passes and ended up with about 40 walleye/8 keepers, 5 cats, 3 sheep, 2 white perch in 4 hours. #5 purple boxer harness/2oz inline weight 40fb at 1.8 was best today. Wed. night they were down around those 760 numbers, but moved north about a 1/4 mile today...good luck

We fished the same area on Saturday but in 26 fow. Caught 9 keepers on spoons and harnesses' 50 to 58. On Sunday went back to same general area. Caught 30 shorts before catching a keeper. Swung west and north around the island and finally started catching keepers. 30 fow, spoons and harnesses 55 to 65. Nascar and anything with purple. Final count 11.
