Taking my two young boys over Labor Day weekend looking for help

I am new to Lake Erie fishing and looking for some insight. Nobody wants to take their 8year old and 6year old fishing and not look like they know what they're doing. Planning to go perch fishing in the morning one day and smallmouth fishing after we limit. Then go perch fishing next morning and walleye fishing in the evening next day. Looking for some help on the perch and walleye side of things. I used to fish smallmouth up there 10 years ago but I assume they are still able to be taking on tubes around island rocks humps. Looking for good locations to search for these fish and what to be using so I can keep the boys excited about fishing. I am a lucky dad that has two boys that love fishing and I am hoping to show them an awesome weekend. Thanks in advance for any helpful insight.
