Fished 8/11 and 8/12 in the same spot and got a 2 man limit yesterday and a 3 man limit today. We fished approx. 200 yards from the 2nd set of buoys north of the harbor light and east of the channel. Size was better yesterday with everything 8+ and 17 pounds for a 2 man limit. Today we had 90 fish for 20 pounds. We struggled to get the 8+ today. 2 great days of fishing.

Having read your posting made me think of something I discovered a few years back. Using a gps we checked the distance from Cullen park to the harbor light and then checked the distance from Anchor point/Meinkes and found the difference was less than half a mile. Sure seems like Meinkes should be farther but it isn't. I use both depending on wind direction and where bait is located.
