We were gna try on Sunday morning out by Catawba and East/West Harbors. Wanted to go after some eyes for a bit then slide into one of the harbors for crappie and gills. Anybody having any success out that way? If so, what seems to be working, jiggin, harnesses, spoons, trolling? Anybody gettin into pockets of crappies?

Caught some nice crappie around boat docks in West Harbor last weekend. Nothing fancy, just a bobber and a minnow. Fish were holding really tight to the docks. Bobber had to be within a couple feet of the dock in order to get a strike. Will try again this weekend. Nothing like some fresh fried crappie filets. Good luck.
