Can some one give me the number to call to cross into Canadian waters, and do you need a passport. Thank you .
1-888-226-7277 1-888-can-pass you need a passport if you are going to set foot on Canadian soil. I carry the small pass card with me just in case.
Also make damn sure none of the folks on your boat will be carrying of you plan on crossing over the line. Good luck and stay safe!
Make sure there is zero alcohol on your boat once in Canadian waters.
And if some guy thinks he's slick and tries taking marijuana with him, you make him keester it.
Or you could just make him dump it overboard. But would make for a better story if you made him keester it......
no weed, no beer, no whiskey, no guns. hope the walleye are there or im staying put. we used to fish middle sister island all the time all you needed was a license
Before AA I would have told you it wasn't possible to fish without all that stuff. LOL!!! I would have just stayed home!
Alert!!! Flare guns are considered firearms in Canada so leave the flare gun at the dock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take the hand held ones instead.
Sure doesn't seem like its worth all the hassle nowadays. Just my opinion.
Agreed, If you can't find them in Ohio forget it! Isn't the limit in Canada only 4 walleye?
Geary,
Canadian fishing License-
1. Sport fishing License- 1 Year- $83.27 Limit- 6 walleye, 50 perch (you can only bring 30 back with you in Ohio waters)
2. Conservations fishing licsense-1 Year- $ 51.65 Limit- 2 Walleye, 25 perch.
3. Sport Fishing License 8 Day- $53.54 - Same limits as the Sport fishing license above.
4. Conservation Fishing License 8 Day - $30.53 - Same limits as the Conservation license above.
These four options above all require the purchase of a 3 year outdoor card at an additional cost of $9.68.
A 5th option is a Sport Fishing 1 day license at $23.01. This option does not require the outdoor card purchase and you can keep 6 walleye and 50 perch (30 if you’re returning to Ohio waters.)

Flare guns are allowed on boats in ontario..
If you wanna play you gotta pay is my motto
I stand corrected! It appears that you are right! But you and I am not the ones' who will be interpreting and then applying the law. Even the Canadian residents are in disagreement on this topic. Here is what I have found and if taken literally it appears that you are correct.
Check out Question 4 and Answer 4 in the following link fro RCMP(Royal Canadian Mounted Police)! Whether or not this applies to Alien non-residents or not has not been addressed.

cheaper is 8.99 a pound today and saturday walleye from Canada and yellow perch meijers
I'm gonna start fishing at Meijers.
Lol....I look at the big picture. It's cheaper to spend $250 a weekend fishing. Otherwise:
1- $100 per hour for a shrink to help me forget about my problems
2 - $300 a month for anxiety medicine
3 - $300 an hour for a divorce attorney (because I'm home all the time and driving the wife nuts)
4 - $400,000 in assets I will lose once the divorce is final even though I paid for a good attorney.
Lol....I have been married to the same woman for 34 year and I attribute it to fishing....lmao....great investment!
married wife 20 years ago married my sportcraft 31 years ago new stringers 3500 new tarp 2100 transmission repair 600 new marine radio 150 new filters new oil and plugs wires distributor 2 batteries 300. and she still lets me go fishing when I want and don't mind when I go
Everytime I go out it costs about a 100bux Lol
holy smokes, all you folks paint a "Dustin Johnson" moment if you cross into Canadian waters! lol
it can't be that bad?????? that's what happens when you get mixed up with some crazy Canucks...lol:D
In Ontario, it is illegal to carry alcohol in a car, snowmobile or boat unless the container is unopened and the seal unbroken, or unless the beverage alcohol is packaged in baggage that is fastened closed or is not otherwise readily available to anyone in the vehicle. In a boat, the beverage alcohol must be stored in a closed compartment. (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario)
