Heard that the Niagara area just outside the firing range has been good with decent sized fish. The people that I got this info from are most often straight shooters and do not BS their reports. Please remember that this is purely 2nd hand knowledge so treat as such.
Not going out till Friday but will let you know then if they are still around.
Won't be out till Friday around noon. Last weekend was up and down at Niagara for several boats. I'll let you know how we do.
Between green and rattlesnake has been hot for perch the last week or two. Friends of mine limited there last week and 3 of us saturday got 50 and only fished a couple hrs. No jumbo jumbos but hardly any throwbacks either and very little junk. Good luck
3 of us fished B can on Friday from 4pm to 8pm got 75, not bad mix.
nothing huge steady bite, not too much junk. ran out of minnows before
limit.
Between Green and Rattlesnake. If your first anchor drop don't produce just move a little. Don't give up, they are there. I have seen very little junk too were the perch are.
4 of us limited yesterday about a 1/2 mile north of green. Going back again today. Very little junk fish.

Got 71 perch today sw of green took well over a hour and a half to find them if we would of had more time could of had 3 tickets! Back at it in the morning! :) -Dave
BLACK PEARL. If u really wanna get into em go between green and rattle, a little closer to rattle. Ull get right into em. Stay out on edge of the pack of boats. PM me tomorrow a.m. if u have trouble findin em. Same for me too if we have trouble. Goid luck

BLACK PEARL. I dont know where u were perchin at, but between green and rattle was the happenin spot yesterday. We were a bit closer to green and by ourselves east of the pack that built up around 10oclock. 3 of us ended up w 81. From 8 oclock til 1. But 1 guy only got 8 perch and me and buddy got the most of em. Very light biters for sure. At 11oclock we had 68 and in them last 2 hours they did shut down on us. Good luck

Guess we made the right decision this weekend to stay put at home. Sounds like the eyes are goin good to the East, but everyone , except way east, was stuggling to get a good meal of perch. The bugs won't last long and the little guys will be hungry again, and the best part is their gaining weight !!!:p. Got knee surgery coming 1st week of august after NY trip so might get a lot of perchin done after scooting down ramp feet first. Good fishin all, Mike
Hey, BLACK PEARL. I Was just sitting here thinking about something. Last year going into august, the perch fishing was hot out east. I guess they call it the dumping grounds? 8 to 10 miles east outa mazuriks. Have u heard anyone trying out there yet? Jw. I remember you bein one of the guys posting about that area. We busted em out there too. Let me know
I've never fished there do early but yes I have done very well out there Mid August till the bitter end had a 4 man limit in 1 hour 20min lat Labor Day 2013!Quote:

Some of the white perch were huge. Used a little extra weight to get it to the bottom quicker. If you got it to the bottom with out the white perch grabbing it you would catch yellow perch.

I know I am other side of the lake and in the middle but I watch your board and see your perch reports.
Mid lake straight across from Conneaught is where I fish. I am on the hottest perch I have ever seen. Last Tues we boated 350 for 7 guys in just over 2hrs. Weight after cleaning was 89lbs.
Try the ridge in deeper water, 47' and running 2oz weights with pickeral rigs to get to bottom
