Also fished same area Tuesday afternoon. Got 4 man limit in just under 2 hours. Many double and triple headers. Lots of junk fish in there also. 28 ft water
Fished same spot again today. Another 4 man limit in 3 hrs. Nicer fish than yesterday. Still had to sort the smaller perch and trash out.
Hope they make a home there for while, nice to be in close
Has been slow perchin last couple days, ran out to 54 fow north of lighthouse but bite slow, then ran west in front of Redbrook @ 51fow and did better. Pulled limit but took awhile, although nice size to the perch. Tight lines!!
Out this morning half mile north of lighthouse, 3 hours for 30 medium perch, 43fow but fish were mostly from 32 to 39 feet. Hope next few days weather will keep em close.:)
Went out this morning out of lake shore park, 2.5 mi straight out to 50fow, line in water @7am, back at ramp by 8:15...80% jumbos😊
Out at 7am, in at 8:30...3.5 mile northeast of lakeshore park. Large pack of boats, we were just west of pack. Pulled two man limit
Nice job sweet water hope they stick around for awhile
Went just north east of Redbrook Boat club in 48 FOW, pulled 4 man limit in 4 and half hours, lot of smalls but that kept gulls happy. :o
Today went back to same sweet spot, had 3 man limit of bigger perch in less than 3 hrs. Nice to have calm waters, think the perch are pretty much all over, good luck to all!!
Looking to go perching Sat. launching from Lake Shore Park but I will most likely be by myself.
How busy is the boat ramp on a Saturday morning? I will have to leave my boat tied up at the ramp while I go park the trailer. Will there be any problems with that? Also can you launch anytime?
The park opens @6 am to get minnows and a launch permit($6), I launch by myself most the time and have no problems, I usually pull my boat as far back as I can at dock before parking trailer. There are three ramps to use, all nice and a few guest docks also, haven't been out all week since been too rough for me, but you can get info from inside bait house or from fellow fishermen as to where to start (look for the boat pack too) Good luck...tight lines:)
Hey sweet water, I'm putting in at walnut Saturday I was wondering do u think the perch will still b hitting after this cold front ????
I'm hopin they are, if wasn't heading out of town for few days would be out to find out for myself, as ferocious as the bite has been lately if you find em should get em, good luck!!
Thanks sweet water I'll let ya know how it works out
