Western Basin Fishing
Well we made it to Put in Bay OH. in one piece no issues with the truck or trailer. We should be fishing by tomorrow afternoon. I launched the boat and ran it about 1.5 miles to the marina where we are docked for the week. It ran good, with no issues so far. :D

Good luck! Keep us posted on ur catches. Did you by chance get a water temp reading at that end?
-
Jim, there are many and big fish north and east of the islands good luck! The bite was tough for us in April
-
Fishkiller - do they know your reputation at the western end ? Of do you have to reestablish it there? :p
-
Fishkiller, my dad and I are staying at wild wings for the weekend. Today we went through all of our waypoints from the last 4 years and came back with nothing. Had friends here last weekend and it was tough for them too. Like short handed said, if the fish are east of the islands I would concentrate there.

Jeff hows the crete holding up? Make a friend with jim he'll find the fish or just follow the baja lol.

We ended up with 2 , we fished about 4 hrs. We had 1 that was 9.3 lbs and 1 around 6.5 lbs. 250 we fished between Rattle snake and South Bass, they were picking them up all around us. Call me on 68 if you want.

Picked up 3 today jigging before the sun came up, stayed with the pack until 8:30 only seen 1 other walleye caught. Moved outside of the range cans to troll, marked a ton of fish but couldn't get anything to go. Fish killer, I wanted to head over your way but it was just to rough. Everybody we talked to only had 1 or 2. Surface temp was 53-55. Bailey, my concrete is good, where my truck gets parked spalled a little but not to bad.

Matt clean area good and buy a good salt guard sealer the new liquid melter plus salt is bad on crete. As it drips of truck it builds up and is constant all winter. Plus the freeze thaws we get now just melts it off vehicles. Good luck glad your getting a few 3 wks and game on here.

Why am I NOT seeing any posts from the western end of lake Erie - Jim.??? You had to have caught at least one or two by now. Do they have internet in Ohio.
ps- I have a couple of questions about mounting the new Traxstech Mast when you get back and rested up.

coming up week after next for a week. is there any good fishing around luna pier or sterling state park?
-
We're doing pretty good, I'm at 38 in my boat for the week. Our biggest has been 9lbs 9oz. We have 14 guys in the group we're at a total of 74 Walleyes so far for the group. All fish have been caught between Green, Rattlesnake, Middle and South Bass Islands. 30-35 FOW. All trolling with Reef Runners, 30Ft Rapala Tail dancers in purpledescent, and harnesses on 3 color lead, and snapper Torpedo divers.
-
How is the boat traffic compared to over here?
-
a little heavier on the weekends but during the week about the same.
-
Well were home from our annual Put in Bay trip, I ended up with 51 Walleyes in my boat and a total of 130 Walleyes for all in our group. It was a little slower fishing on average this year for sure. I will attest alot of my sucess directly to the Kishel's Fish Scent, we were catching fish on days when hardly any one was catching anything. I cant wait untill the Southtowns Tourny I think the Fish Scent is going to shine on our end of the pond. If anyone wants to get a hold of some of the Kishel's Fish Scent get a hold of me and I'll get you some.
-
Bailey and I were just talkin bout why we didn't get some from you at the expo. Guess that's what happens when we get sidetracked.

$9.00 a bottle let me know.
