My Guess is OCT.5:)
I will say Oct. 6th.
Hopefully the 8th when I back up there.

I'm going to say Oct. 5th, that's when I plan to be back up!
if waves lay down some what, sunday oct. 2, so far the winds have layed down from last night.
How about October 5th...... Wednesday..... we will be on the fish again~!:D
10 days at best, and that will be after the winds stop and the waves get back down to 1 to 3 footers, probably looking at the middle of the month!
Lets not plan on fogging the boats yet, the year went to fast- but these last few weeks remind me of the April jig BS we we went though with the wind and 4"= of rain - somthin fishy

Better buy ur shiners now and preserve or freeze as the next full moon will be on the 11th of Oct., with the amount of mud stirred up by this blow and the amount of rain that was dropped in Indiana the Lake will most likely be a mess into the full moon cycle and that means no shiners. The Maumee will be dumping muddy water into the lake and the wind will muddy the Lake from West Sister east. So there probably won't be any clean water coming into the lake to help dilute the muddy water.
My weather station right now says that the wind is WNW at 32mph so that is still going to be 6ft+ waves.
Right now it's blowing 30+ MPH with sustained 6 - 8 ' waves off Cedar Point and Marblehead and forcast is to continue till Tuesday so no decent fishing until Friday the 7th in my zone. There is often excellent fishing in the channel behind the Cedar Point Chausee during these windy spells. I planned my schedule to be open this month and mother nature doesn't quite see things my way! :mad:

Moderate/steady rain all nite last nite. Today 30 knot winds- steady rain/ waves 8-10 feet plus. Totally unfishable this a.m. All restaurants are packed. Suppose to be better tomorrow-surely can't get worse.:

10/5/2011 - life is good
Wind stopped, lake is settling, weather great, perch biting, we have shiners, life is good. Perch have resumed biting north of B-Can and NW & NE of West Sister, hopefully the walleye take the hint now. Crappie and bass biting too. Big Apple Festival in Oak Harbor this weekend. Calling for good weather rest of week and weekend.
Looks like to me ,the people that guessed 10/5 were the closest guessers:)
Thanks to all that Replied , we couldn't go fishing but we still had a little fun or at least I did.
