Two of us went out last night about 5:30 in front of Wild Wings in about 14ft of water. Limited out in about an hour.
Conditions were flat calm and the water was clear. Busted out the electric motor to cover some ground very slowly. Used 3/8 ounce jig heads with a chartruse gulp minnow bouncing on the bottom.
Caught all males.
Fished Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday. Caught a lot of fish right out front of Turtle Creek but caught a lot better grade fish just off of Cone in 22 fow. M<ost of the fish we caught in the shallow water out front were 18-20 inches and off of Cone were 22-26 inches. Jigs with or without a minnow. Color really didnt seem to matter either.
Fished last weekend right out front of WW in 8 to 13 fow and did well. Most of the fish in the 18-20 inch range. Moved out to Cone in 22 fow and averaged 24-26 inches. Limited Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday
we went out of ww sun and mon also. we didnt bother with the pack, we went to our own little shallow reef with about ten other boats. caught our limit in no time both days.the wallys were so thick that they were breaking the water right at the boat in balls of 5-10 fish, just rolling all over each other. i have never seen anything like it. i was reeling in a nice one when about three more came up with it. we almost had three in the net at once.the water was so clear you could see the balls of fish very easily. hint'' for those of you who know this lake well i'll tell you the reef we were on came all the way up to 6 feet...if you cant figure it out , just fish with the pack in front of ww. the fish do seem to be bigger out on the reefs 3-4 miles out.HAPPY FISHING<see you this weekend.
wallysfor me: Why not just say where? I thought this site was for sharing info. There are millions of walleye in the lake plenty for everyone and more so why play games with info! Makes no since just my 2cents worth!

This is my first post on the site. I am going to be up on the Bass Islands this weekend and was wondering if anyone could give any advice on location and what is working well. I only get to visit the lake a few times each year and would like to maximize my odds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Could not access my computer for a while. But anyways ill be up on the lake this friday was curious if I could get any feedback on whether I should focus on jiggin, Bottom Bouncers/harnesses, or trolling. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hope to come up on Saturday, May 1st... only day I can fish this season before having surgery next week... not looking for GPS coords or anything... have launched out of Wild Wings before and enjoy catching them on the jig bite... Just looking for an honest report and alittle help if possible... its a 3 hour drive, so just would appreciate any info positive or not... went out monday we got 8 4 guys all on harnesses and bb gold no 4 hammered colorado blade deep cut, and purple. tuesday 3 guys we got 12 same way crane creek and in front of wards canal swest winds we would run up to 12 ft of water and drift out to 15 and then make another drift lost a lot of bouncers and harnesses due to snagging on bottom switched to a floater harness and that solved the problem
Didnt know there was anything to snag on there that would break you off, you must of found a little reef, Tried it off pier just to see if they were catchable one nite last weekend, 2 sheeps, and a cat, no walleye, guess ya gotta be out farther , i think its 8-9 ft at end of pier, havent heard a lot of positves on here lately, Must b slow out there, besides the weather

Live in oregon, ohio, by maumee bay state park, mayflies last night covered everything. Does anyone do anything different out on the lake when this goes on for the next 2 weeks. It seems to slow fishing down for us, fish caught are just full of mayfly larvae.
