Perch report 9-5

5 guys fished little cedar point and just west of intake caught 30 lousy perch. Beautiful day on lake fishin not so much. 9lbs at cleaners. Goodluck hopefully these perch pick up a bit.

A can 5 guys, 4 hrs, 78 keepers. Most of mine came on Sabiki rig

How far is A can from the intake. I was out around the intake yesterday. Only managed 12. Beautiful day but rough fishing

I was in Port Clinton Saturday night, several places along the shoreline. Believe it or not there were mayflies. Not anywhere near the numbers in June, but they were there, a few here, a few there. Also a good number of a smaller midge. So maybe there have been insect hatches going on over the last few weeks and that's part of the reason the perch fishing has slowed.

I have used Sabiki's in salt water. Did you bait them here?

Been a few days any better luck yet?

I use wax worms if I have them. If I dont have any I pinch off the smallest piece of nightcrawler I can or pinch or cut a very small piece of minnow. I know that they are hitting the naked Sabiki tho

I'll try them this weekend. Do you know what size has worked best?

The ones I have been using have about a size 10 hook. I am going to order some bigger ones off of the net over the winter. I think I am having trouble hooking the bigger fish. Tough day today with the nne wind 18 mph. 47 for the boat, but the mate caught almost 20 of them. Green island

We didn't get to fish with the Father in Law's birthday, and the Sunday morning storm. I have size 10's. I'll look for some larger hooks.
