I don't mean this to sound like a stupid question, but does that mean jigging is over?
We have always ran crankbaits. How do you guys run worm harness?
Can you run them on board with weights ?
Thank you
You should be able to run them behind weights. Ppl also use jet divers, tadpoles, mini disk, dipseys, bottom bouncers, just about anything that gets them down.
They can also be cast with weight forward as well
Hey Goosebuster,
Thanks for the heads up. What color blades worked out best for you?
Thanks
Congo
We use almost exclusively a #4colorado gold spinner when casting.Trolling we use usually #5 and sometimes#6 Colorado. We also use double willow blades.Colors can be all over the place, but pink, purple ,chartruse and gold can all produce. We use a dipsey and #2 tadpoles to get our harnesses down on inline boards.
I run them with 2 oz. in line weights behind off shore in-line boards in the western basin lake Erie. Harnesses are 48" long with # 6 colorado blades, #2 single hook and a #4 treble trailer. Hook worm by nose only and let it stretch out. Don't hook the treble into the worm. Will run up to 10 lines depending on crew. Works awesome with many limits.
What size of tripz do you use mostly? I was going to pick some up and try it.
Thank you
