Saturday June 30 and July 1st open for a day of drifting for walleye.
Up to 6 ppl. all gear provided if needed. May even try for perch for a couple hours if the afternoon or morning. PM or call.
Drifting and trolling both producing well lately. Running 10-15 miles out in the deep flats north and north east of the reefs. The bite should be like this most days through the summer if the weather stays stable. A couple June dates left and 3 dates open for July for deep flats and reef drifting. Summer smallmouth and fall yellow perch trips available. Thinking of night fishing the reefs and casting some crankbaits at dusk for a few hours for the shallow walleye that chase baitfish. Some bites right at the boat. Late evening trips for 4 ppl only. Perch are biting good already as I perched on Saturday with good results. Call or PM.
I have room for 4 people for a Saturday July 7th trip.
Drifting if we have some wind and can troll only if its calm.
All gear provided every trip.

The boat is full for this Saturday June 30th.
7th has a few open spots and 8th of July open.
Looks like a calm few days coming up with the high air temps.
High pressure and stable weather should make for good fishing this week during early morning and evenings.
This saturday opened back up for a charter. Customer had a family emergency out of state.
Fishing is good, dont have long boat ride right now. Boat #2 took 24 today by noon. If you can stand the heat, lets go.
Call my cell # only. No PM or emails this week. Other dates open , just call and ask what I have left for July. July weather is stable and the fishing is either trolling on calm days in the open flats and the reef fishing on the days the wind is blowing. Customer choice is drift or troll. Perch fishing has started for some that love perch jerkin. I will start perchin mid August or so.
I went perchin last weekend and did good as only keeping larger fish. Under 8" went back to grow up. Did a roof job on my house for the last week or so, now its time for walleye again. Charter on Friday and drifting on request !
Just got home from the lake ,( needed an air conditioner break in the camper)an after a few days of babysitting my generator. Major power outage after the storm on friday night. Over 4 days of no elect at home , so I hope others can handle the heat if you are still without power.
The the fishing report. Friday was good mid morning thru mid afternoon. The crew wanted to drift for awhile, but didnt get to many walleye by casting. So by 11am I said we should be trolling. We pulled over 25 walleye in 3 hours before the heat got too much. I had to come home because of the storm but boat #2 took limits the through Monday. 40 jets 60-70ft with spoons. #3 dipsey 40-45. Found a spot to ourself and nets away. This weekend is still open for Sunday, Saturday is too hot for me so its just Sunday thr 8th this week.
The next opening for me would be in 2 weeks on Sunday.
Fishing is really good in July and the water is really clean, alot of small minnows everywhere. Caught several white bass and only a few sheeps. A few openings on the other boat as well.
Next weekend is full and the following weekend I have trips on July 20, 21 but Sunday the 22nd is open. Walleye or yellow perch and will be running out of Fenwick Marina. All gear provided as usual for $540 for the day up to 6ppl. Drifting and trolling have both produced well the last couple weeks.

Simply fun fishing.
Thursday Capt. Don ran my boat for a perch fishn day. A little rough ride out but the bite was on fire. 7-13 inch range and 210 yellows in the box. Lots of nice perch this year. The bite has been very good most days. Sunday the 7th of Oct. I would like to have a group to go fishing for perch. I have walleye trips on that Friday and Saturday (5th and 6th )so Sunday would be perch for sure. Call soon as not sure what weekend we will be pulling the boats. Capt. Don is available to run on another day if you get your group together. Reefs will hold some big perch during Oct and its a short ride. Call asap to hold your spots.
Anyone looking to get in on some early season jigging for walleye, I only have 1 Saturday open and a couple Fridays and Sundays open for morning trips.
Try a "Friday afternoon blow the day off work to go fishing" day. Leave the dock @ 3 and fish till dusk during April and the first weekend in May for our Spring Special this year.
Jig for walleye on the near shore reefs and shallows. Reefs are right outside the marina so more time fishing for you. Sunday afternoon trips all year from 3 till dark for those who want to escape some of the crowd from the weekends.
All gear provided on the boat and lodging available right at the marina.
Half of my walleye season is already booked as people have called extra early this year. Must be Fishing Fever. My profile lists the charter info.
This Sunday May 5th is the last open date I have open for a deep reef jig trip.
Its going to be fairly calm both days with Southeasterly lite winds. Water clearity is good, cool water temps and its spring. All gear provided for an @ 8 hour day for $540. Weekday trips available all season.
Friday June 21 and Friday July 19th are open for walleye drifting or trolling.
Walleye fishing has been good lately by trolling and similar results by drifting.
Last friday was good with 25 walleye in box and several throw backs before 11:30 when a storm shut down our day. Had customers limit so they where happy. Saturday was mixed results by drifting with varied results, best was 3oz 1 crank up and 4oz 2 cranks up with a 4 ft leader. Saturday was lumpy all day and wind kept increasing. Monday boat #2 had a limit of 36 by 9:10 am, so the bite is hot on the right days. Call by phone as I am at the lake for 3-4 days at a time away from internet.
This coming Sunday just opened up, pick the morning trip or afternoon/evening.
You get your group together and call me via cell phone. Weather looking ok to go. Perch have been biting early morning with limits coming fast over this past weekend. Walleye trolling alittle better than casting. Call for details. This Sunday the 14th is the only open day till August 4th. Perch are nice size, and makes a good combo trip.
Think Spring ! A few weekend dates for spring walleye are open. Spring drifting and summer drifting or trolling. 2014 charter rates for walleye, $600, up to 6 ppl.
Well guys its March 24th and it was 19 degrees this morning. Some fellow captains are heading north from Florida this coming weekend and I think they might be surprised how far behind we are for weather. I am hoping for some warm air to get this lake ice melted. Some open dates in April for some jigging, weekends during the morning or an evening trip. The ice fisherman caught some huge stringers of fish the first 9 weeks or so of the year. Wind has broken up some ice out there but warm air and some warm rain would help. First trips in 3 weeks so I am pleading with " Ol man winter " to go away, he made his point.
The time is near !
Happy Easter !
The next 2 Fridays, April 25th and May 2nd are open on my boat for morning 8 hour or afternoon/eve jigging trips. 4 to 5 hour evening on the 25th of April for $450. Leave the dock for 6 am or wait till early afternoon. 8 hour trips $600. 4 / 5 hour eve trips leave @ 4pm.

All gear provided, just bring your lunch/drink and a bigger cooler once we get in.
$600 for up to 6 ppl.
Sunday August 3rd open for a crankbait trolling day. Working the reefs and near shore for summer walleye.
Sometimes the sun shines, sometimes it rains and then the sun shines again. So what does the walleye say. Nope, not that interested but maybe try a smaller bait.
Friday I said "No work" and went way north to fish Ontario waters of Erie.
Thinking we wont see hardly a sole. Not that day. Fishing the shallows we did catch some nice eyes, workn the shallow shelf breaks and taking a few and losing a few. Then it slowed down because somebody kept running and driving thru the shallows and the fish spooked. Made a big move which seemed like a good idea and we had it by ourself. Nope, a blank there so went back to spooked spot and got a few more. Then it rained Saturday and did a crap shoot Sat morning, rained, foggy, rained again. Just made for a tough day. Now on Sunday I guess the stars got realigned , made the right move and let the crew handle the deck and filled the cooler. I gave up on the crankbaits this week and back to spoons. Bammm. Dipseys on #3 setting at 38 finally took off. Spoons on dipseys. #1 setting has not produced much yet. Jets 40s, 60-80 ft.
Yellow perch are snapping and some eyes being taken west of the islands.
Late August through Oct perch and walleye trips. Walleye being taken trolling and drifting near the islands and out in the flats on the right days. Perch are really turning on in the deep flats and offshore humps.

Ice fishing galore lately for walleye, lots of pigs again this year. Reports coming from the area between Niagara to Green to Catawba and back to F can. Then north of Crane Creek in the deeper waters from A can and west. Surely staging for the spawn. I am ready for soft water action in April. So with that, I have a couple weekdays open during mid month. April 16 , 17 and 24th are open for jigging the reefs and shallows. Contact me for weekend possibilities during early spring and summer. All gear provided all season and live shiners and or crawlers. Lets see some sunshine and melt that white stuff ! Attachment 2800
Friday May 1st is open, morning or evening trip. First day of the limit change up to 6 walleye. Only day open that weekend for a morning trip is Friday. A couple April spawn jigging dates open yet also. Must call for further info. Ice out trips can be some fast fishing. Attachment 2845 Pic is early May 2014 and near calm lake. skipper9 Jim called me and slid in beside me for awhile that weekend. No reason to troll I said. The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend is open for a great time to drift n cast during one of the season peak times. Time to cure that "Cabin Fever" !
Season is getting underway this weekend. Charters Friday Sat and Sunday. Report to follow on Monday.
Will be jigging the nearshore and reefs. Die hard jig fisherman this weekend !
Fished for a short bit last week or Friday but windy and rain kept bite slow. The bite got alot better over the weekend with a buddy getting a nice limit of pigs while jigging the reefs on Monday. Purples and Blacks with some green jig colors best tipped with minnow. Short slow lift drop with cold water. Saturday and Sunday should be very good this week.
Friday looking to be WSW winds about 25 mph with gusts to 40 possible so watch water levels in the channels could drop some. NOAA says 2 to 3 feet near shore waves but I would say more in the morning like 3 to 4s till it lets up.
Fridays have some open spots for jig season and next week Thursday n Friday is open for me. Morning or late afternoon trips, you pick. Friday May 1st is open for the first day of walleye bag limit change. All gear provided. Fee is $600 for morning 8 hour. Call for evening price or short trip charters.
Jig season this year should go into mid May again like last year with the late winter ice. Ice is still covering areas off PA and New York and easter basin of Ohio yet. Like a cool glass of ice water in the table.
The pig walleye just lying there waiting for their right time and temp to move up and the males are all over starting their thing. Should see some eyes boiling on the surface the next couple weekends, maybe get a couple free ones that run into the net while scooping hooked ones. Time to FISH !
Here is what we are doing. Limits by jigging nearshore waters around the reefs 10 to 24 ft. Purple jigs with minnow.Attachment 3004Attachment 3005
Should be this good for the next few weeks to be similar to this on good weather days. Lots of females in the shallows also, the chance to catch a pig yourself with a rod in your hand is very good.
Boat #2 took limits jigging the last 2 days (Tues n Wed) right out front of our marina. Blacks and Purples for jig colors with a minnow. Great rod in hand fishing to feel that bite !
Crushed the walleye jigging this weekend again. Fairly easy limits since the weather has been so stable. Yesterday started a change with this NE wind so we will see what happens from this. There are alot of walleye out there to catch.
I have a request for a jigging walk on trip. Date for walk on is Friday May 1st morning or afternoon.
Call me to get your name on the list and what day you prefer. Charter fee total is $600. Morning trips are @ 8 hour or limit. If you want the evening trip, lv dock @ 3pm. I would run the evening trip 3-8 pm for $550.
This friday morning ( May 1st ) is open, jigging charter. Weather looks great for the 1st of May.
Open dates for groups. May 15th and May 17th. Saturday May 23rd open for drift n cast. If you only have 3 or 4 people, call me and we can work something out. Rate is $600 to lv the dock by 6am. This friday afternoon could be a 2 or 3pm dock time for those who want to blow a friday off work. The afternoon eve bite had been decent up until a week ago and the dark moon phase is soon. Walleye were biting over the past weekend but was a tough bite and most coolers were not full. Normal for post spawn to be this way for 7-10 days. Prime walleye fishing time coming over the next month which is by far my favorite time to be on Erie ( mid May to early June ) to drift and cast for walleye. The jig season has been fantastic this year with many limits, some fast days and some moderate days. Probably my best jig season ever and I just hope the mild spring doesnt make for a low count on the walleye hatch for 2015. Attachment 3110 This picture is 20 years ago this week. 24 walleye limit drifting with 17 over 27 inches and 5 Fish O's off Cranberry Creek. This prime time for rod in hand drift fishing.
Ok, who wants the one remaining Saturday in April for a jigging trip ? April 9th
Sundays April 10th and 24th open for jigging. Fridays of April 22 and April 29th open dates for jigging. These are based on morning 8 hour trips.
Evening trips are available. Weekdays are available on the other boats as I can only run the weekend time frame.
All gear privided if needed, we use name brand equipment and have plenty of hot jig colors in the box.
Going out of Fenwick Marina for all the close walleye spawn action !
Now after another fantastic weekend of jigging the reefs and just off the reefs, two remaining morning dates left to get in on the jigging. Friday April 29th and Sunday May 8th are open for a morning 8 hour trip. This past weekend was really good. Friday just short of a limit by 4 fish, but was the best number of any boat jigging. Saturday was average with all boats at alittle over half the limit and Sunday was a BONZI with 18 in box by 8 am and then finished a limit for a 2 boat trip by lunch time. A couple dandy smallmouth Saturday on one of the reefs for a picture and release. Afternoon jigging trips are available Thursday's, Friday's and Saturdays thru May 7th. Afternoon trips leave the dock at 3 and fish till sunset. The very early morning can be a fast bite on the nice days. NE winds and cool days have been a slow bite, but they will still bite. Just have to figure out how they want the jig presented and try different ways of hooking the minnow. I have a couple prime dates for late May left and boat 2 has the second weekend of June open for trolling after a cancellation. All weekend pics are on my phone yet, will post at a later date.
June 26th ( Sunday ) open for a summer trolling trip. Saturday the 18th is open also. Any weekend afternoon/eve trips available. Trolling bite is going really good the last 2 weeks and should continue. Water clearity is now mostly clear. Water temp increased alot in the last 10 days. With surface temps at 68 up @ 10 degrees n a week. Walleye are taking spoons, cranks, worms. Small 7-14.5 inch walleye are biting good but you will need to sort thru the small ones for a few bigger ones. Look for small pockets of bigger fish and run cranks to get away from the small ones. Spoons are taking all the breeds of fish so if you like action and all sorts of fish , try spoons. I have been running a mix of spoons and cranks while trolling. Not much casting yet as now we have now wind which is complete opposite of a month ago. Morning 8 hour charters run $600 and the eve trips I run for 550. Afternoon/ eve trips run 3-9 pm, at the dock by dark.
