Sounds good to me. Copo, I know just where you are talking about in EA. I worked out that way a few yrs. I live near the north end of schwartz rd. Lanc.
I'm on north Davis rd. towards the Seneca st end. Mike good call on the hunting thread. Lol I was thinking the same thing on the perch thread
I'll probably go out next weekend with bow but i am craving turkey and have a hot spot lined up. Maybe try a turkey with the bow, but more than likely i'll just give it a case of lead poisoning.
Good hit with good broadhead or the big blades that take head off lol I've yet to try it myself but i want to put one out with bow just a personal goal for myself. They are tough birds when arrowed i know that.
I took a spring turkey with my bow 2 yrs. ago just for something diff. made a 12 yd. shot out of a camo grd. blind. Shot at 3 before I got the 4th. It was fun. Copo, I have friends that live on N. Davis just So. of the bridge on the left.
Attachment 720 i'm hoping to film a kill with the new Gopros this year.
Attachment 721 Here is the Gopro mounted to my bow.
So soon to go from fishkiller16 to deerkiller16 film at 11 lol
Jim, how's the weight if that on ur head? I think I like that better than the gun or bow mount.
No issues at all its really pretty light after a few minutes you dont even know its there.
Good luck with that cam. I knew a few hot spots in your back yard until that house went up, dam! ;)
there still there....lol there are at least 4 deer out every night here for the last several months.
That's cool Jim. I'd like to see how well it works. You'll have to post a video
On another note, who are our moderators on this site? I see a spammer with six posts already that needs to be removed. Lol I also just realized that all of us are still under the watch for the first few posts then move to approved member. Ha ha ha.
Man if it isn't blowing its raining. Or both at the same time.
The rest of my bow season is shot, I broke my ankle saturday morning coming out of the woods by stepping into a hole I didnt see. You can bet your ass i'll be out there for gun season....... Stupid hole....lol Its my first broken bone ever not bad for 37 yrs old.
Now you have to get waited on by your wife. And you can say that you & Derek Jeter had the same injury at the same time. I had a broken fibula the same as Gilbert Perreault.
thats sucks :(:(
Oh man that sucks. All these leaves coming down now its hard to see where your stepping. Last year for bow season I got into serious poison ivy putting my stand up. Got it in my blood and it spread throughout my entire body. I ended up having to go to the hospital and get Iv injections of cortisone. It was horrible. I was so weak from the cortisone I could barely draw my bow back.
That sucks big time! I have had 5 broken bones over the yrs. But on a lighter note maybe theres an opening in my old hunting grounds :D. Just kidding take it EZ and heal up for the gun season.
that sucks heal up for gun season
Ha ha lineman 13 more and you'll catch me. Bumb deal jim it sucks but for some reason i have the lumber jack song stuck in my head LOL. I would atill bow hunt just be careful in a couple weeks pain will pass just can't use a climber.
I have a friend that is selling a Summit Viper tree stand, it's like new he is asking $150.00. if anyone is interested send me a pm.
Hey jim did i strike a nerve on fb LOL
nope i was just harrassing you, and the woman that was posting is a fellow coworker (nurse) she always has something to say......lol
She is who i was talkin about ha ha. You have a sense of humor and will dish it out to, its part of the fun.
no she is good people
It was foggy this evening. I hoped it would give the deer a sense of security and hit the field earlier. They did but the fog got so thick so fast I couldn't see. Funny quick story. My mom stopped by and told me she was leaving our friends house across the street from me in the woods this morning and sees the big buck I've been after and a smaller one with it cross the driveway in front of her. Funny thing was the smaller buck had a bunch of pink marking tape wrapped up in his antlers. Lol. She said before she saw the deer she couldn't figure out why something pink was floating through the woods.
So copo are you marking your deer with pink ribbons? Lol pink for non shooters what color for the shooters so we can come help you out?
Lmao. That's a secret. The only thing we can think of Is someone had there driveway sealed and he walked through the ribbon
Nothin like forgetting to set the alarm clock for hunting. Lol. At least I feel better that its raining out.
Copo, no deer yet, I am waiting for pics. of the big ones. I haven't been out at all yet I guess I don't have the bug yet this year. Getting to old (wife says I got smarter) & the knees don't work like them use to! I sent for a new slug barrel this AM maybe that will get me in the mood.
This weather just hasn't been cooperating. First it's to warm now it just rains and blows. Terrible start to bow season.
Man I got a slob by me. I've been passin on anything I've seen hopin for a crack at him. Gotta be over 170s. He looks like a friggin cow in the field. Saggy belly and all. I'm figuring him for 5-6 yrs old. 13 points. Just not in bow range. But my muzzleloader is itchin to take a crack at him. I'm hopin once this weather breaks in a couple days the deer will go on a heavy feed and ill get some action.
Nice buck a guy from works buddies kid got yesterday morning. Attachment 760
Nice buck.
