Excellent first trip of the year!
Sorry about the late report from Friday morning but I can see everyone pretty much did the same with limits everywhere. We didn't get out until around 9:30 in the thick fog west of Catawba.
It sounds like everyone is pulling the P10's but we pulled Reef Runners off of church tx22 boards and experimented with 1 oz weights at 25/25 to 35/35. Caught a couple here and there before a good captain or should I say "Skipper" said to run them with out weight back 60 at 1.5 so we did. As always thanks for the help Skipper9. We had our best luck following the water line where the stained met the clear and caught a very nice quality of fish with several FO's in the mix Green Flash was our best color
The traffic was getting thick so we trolled over to the North side of Mouse about 100 yards off shore and started slamming them right away over there too! We knew we were going to limit early so we were releasing anything under 24 inches.
It sure was hard to leave the water on such a perfect day with fish biting like they were but we left feeling absolutely satisfied with our first trip of the year!
