Is anyone starting to hit the gravel beds yet? Either out of Reno Beach or Crane Creek?
Not sure what your referring too as gravel beds, but the one the locals call the gravel bed is in approx 26' of water and 4 miles NE of the Toledo water intake

Hopefully this cold weather thats predicted will help it happen. Hopefully some local knowledge can keep us posted.

I took a drive through there when we got off ice at camp Perry and talked with a guy that just came off of crane creek with a sled. He said fishing was slow and there was a lot of shove ice which you can see ice mounds from shore. He said they fished out by the island where he did last year. He said were he was at ice was super thick almost didn't get his auger through but im sure that was just a from where ice chunks get shoved under. Wasn't to many trucks in lot maybe a 8 to 10.
8-12 inches of ice. Caught fish at a little past 4 miles out. This cold will only make it better. The zoo at Camp Perry and Catawba will thin out as well.
