First time ice fishing

I went out of Camp Perry Friday morning 7AM with 5 of my friends.Our guide took us 8 miles out.I caught 4 walleyes.One was a throwback,another was about 17 inches and 2 were hogs probably around 5-6 lbs apiece.My fishing partner also caught a 5-6 pounder as did our guide.My other friends struck out.I was fishing a gold spoon with a green swirl tipped with 3 minnows.None of my fish showed up on our depth finder.All were caught within one foot of the bottom.Had a blast and will definitely be back before ice out.

Lake erie gets another hooked. It is always a blast to see a first timer on erie get into a nice fish, somehow , other fish just don't seem to stack up after you have been bitin by the walleye ice bug, congrats and hope you do come back, Mike
