Happy New Year and reflection on 2014
As I look back on 2014 I pause and reflect on the year. I am grateful for many things not the least of which is my association with everyone who visits and contributes to the community.walleye forums and our mutual love of Lake Erie and the joy it brings to everyone who experiences its' rich fishing tradition.
I am also thankful to be able to share the wonder of fishing with the next generations and hope that many others experience this joy. Below is a link to a you tube video shot earlier this year while my wife and I were vacationing near Sanibel Island, FL with our two youngest grandgirls. My 7 year old Kaili caught her very first shark, a small hammerhead juvenile. Hope you can take a minute and view the video and experience the excitement through the eyes of a 7 year old. I realize this happens most everyday somewhere but it is special each and every time. Keep passing the tradition of fishing to the youngsters. We'll all be better for it. Have safe and prosperous NEW YEAR, everyone !
