Does anybody think tues south west 20 mph wind will push ice out. Even though water is still cold we should still be able to troll slow for some eyes.....its probably wishful thinking though.....got new boat coming and its driving me nuts not being able to go

ice
Wait ! Alot of our floating docks are in, but they are lying on the ice in the channel. Ramps are still locked in with ice. This warm air keeps up and some warm rain, the ice could melt this week yet. Play it safe and wait till it warms up alittle instead of dodging icebergs and wasting truck fuel.

Winds and ice April 1-4
Wind forecast through Friday is shifting around. Southeast to southwest to west to southeast to east to northeast back to southeast and then southwest. Ice flows will probably move around a lot and if the predicted easterly direction Wednesday through Friday afternoon holds up a lot of the central and eastern basin ice will probably move west and into the Western Basin. At this point the weekend looks hazardous. We'll have to wait until Thursday and an updated forecast to see. Good news is the warmer temps, wind/wave action, and rain will probably reduce the ice a lot.
