Register and ask any questions that you may have about the biological aspects of the Lake. They have an office called the Stone Lab on South Bass Island. It's free to register for the site and the lab is a tax payer supported research facility. They are super nice people. One of the extention Agents who just recently retired was also a highly repected ice guide for several years who retired from that also. Their offical designated name is Ohio Sea Grant.
