Hot summer fishing on the maumee

The reel sport team took the weekend off and did some summer fun fishing, wading the maumee in shorts and tennis shoes, we fish the buttonwood rapids in water less than waist deep. we fished from 3 to 6.30 pm, caught over 100 catfish, quit counting
at 100, 2 smallmouth and 2 shepheads, hot set up was stick bobber set at 3 ft. two split shots, and one perch hook with chartuse , orange or dark green blade, and half of nightcrawler,
just openbail and let drift, a bite every cast, and the whole river to our self, used only four dozen nightcrawlers. four guys fished tonight fish range from 12 inches to over 10 lbs.
great fun for the family, we will return chartering weds night for our first perch trip of the season. The Reel sport charters,
