Dipsey Diver Problems

Yo Captains and Corinthians...I bought two Dipsey Diver Magnums...I rigged the 1/2 oz spoons with swivels at all terminals and sent them below...upon retrieval the 5' wire was tangled (wrapped) around the line going to the reel when they broke surface.

Can you lads figure out what I am doing to get this tangle...One thing that might be doing it...the triggers were factory set so strong that they would not trip no matter how hard I jerked to trip them before bringing them up...I had to fight the Divers all the way to the surface...
