4/30 Tough Day
Fished from 7am-12 this morning. Nothing. Tried in front of Turtle Creek, Magee, and Bessie from 9-12 FOW. I never saw a net go down. I am sure a few were caught, but from the radio chatter, it sounded slow all around. Did hear about some possible activity farther out (crane and locust) but the wind was blowing pretty good, so I decided to stay in closer. Even the charter guys were moving all over the place trying to get something going.

Same here
4/30 - Fished 9 to about 2 pm, 2 experienced guys, not one bite. Jigged numerous colors, drifted bottom bouncers and harnesses, even cast some weight forwards with crawlers. Front of turtle, front of radio tower, NE of Besse. Stained water, and clear water. Fished 9-14 feet, several drifts in close and out further. Even ran out to L can and fished 19 foot. Not a mark. Not as many boats out, and those that were were all moving. No one cleaning fish at Turtle Campgrounds. Never saw a net in the water.
I know some are hitting them right.... you need to be out there at 6 AM or after 6 PM seems. Kind of tough to do when you are 2+ hrs away on one day fish.
This is my third trip and personally have yet to catch one fish (pretty ashamed to admit that). Believe I am done till bite and reports pick up. I think that will happen when and if we ever get a west wind.
