Weekend Perch Report 7-21 and 7-22

Fished sat by myself Started in front of wards-chocolate milk and no fish, moved over by intake with group of boats, same thing. Finally moved out about 1 mile south of mcdonalds buoy and caught 30 keepers. I sorted and didn't keep anything under 8.5 to 9 inches. Probably caught 100 or so to get my fish. It wasn't fast and furious, but enough to keep me busy. Skipper 9 rigs about 1 foot off bottom was the strike zone. Also caught a lot of sheephead and white perch. 10 lbs at cleaner

Sunday 4 of us went back out in front of wards canal in 20 fow. Caught 4 tickets in about 6 hours. Crappie rigs and skipper 9 rigs were the best right on bottom. Also caught fish on spreaders with perch blades and brass blades. LOTS of little perch/and junk fish. Had 27 lbs at cleaner.

I went out Sunday ,south of mcdonalds and east 1/4 mile,,,it was fast action...if nothiing in 3 minutes check your bait you got robbed... used plain hooks tired one just above weight and one right below...kinda like a skipper9 set up...kept the weght in the mud lift up a foot every once in a while..2hours got my limit..kept a few 7 at first then seen it was a hot bite went with the rest nothing under 8..... 10 of them were 9 or bettergot a few 10 in. Or better
