since the storms we ran no charters today, so after the storm,
Capt. mike, first mate wayne and johnny, went tennis shoe and short wading, with 3 dozen worms, stick bobbers and a split shot, and a perch hook with orange blade and orange beads set two feet down from bobber, started at 3 pm. finished at 5 pm. 87 catfish from 10 inches to 5 lbs, and one smallmouth, and the nice thing not one person on the river, fished in the rapids, button wood area. I like to fish that area or Wiers rapids both fun spots and safe.
no wonder you wren't answering the radio...boy did u miss a good day on the lake...lol. did get a 12 inch perch though. I think it was bigger than some of the walleyes we caught saturday.
Was at Otsego park on Friday evening for a Graduation party. Was on the back patio over looking the stairway to the river and watched a fellow catch and release several (?) fish. When he walked out about dark we asked him how he did and he said he had caught several Smallmouths and even more catfish and one pike.
Fished Weirs early Fathers Day morning at sunrisre. Got 6 smallies, the biggest 18 in, 4 whites, and a couple cats. Floating minnows under a bobber.
