Fishing Report 5-8-12

Fished in the afternoon from 3 till 8. Started at A can jigging and casting gold weapons. Lots of whitebass white perch. Lost 1 walleye at boat on gold weapon. Moved to L can same program, no walleyes. Moved to Locust reef and caught 3 walleye in first 10 minutes on purple hair jigs, tipped with gulp minnow or nightcrawler. Lots of sheephead. Could not get the walleyes to fire up again. Finally quit and headed back...wind switched to west and suddenly we had 3 footers to deal with on the way back... It was a fun night though.
