We will be drifting worms all weekend. I've heard the eyes are on the bottom in deeper water but still close to the reefs.
Thanks will give it a shot this weekend.............think hair jigs are bout done
if you mark fish around or on the reefs you can try jigs but i'm sure the jig fishing is about done
I haven't be able to fish yet this year but will finally get on the water tomorrow. I have been looking for info as well trying to get an idea of where the fish are and what program is working best. This is what I found on Happy Hookers site.
Happy Hookers report on 5/8 is as follows.
Walleye habits have changed . Fewer and fewer jiggers every day, more are using bottom bouncers and worm harnesses, continue to troll worm harnesses and spoons pulled by jet divers should really come to life toward weekend. Best spots have been north of A-B-C cans and north of Niagara reef down to D Can. Most boats including charters, pulling limits or close too. Reef Runner bite out in deeper waters continues to be good. One surprising best color has been green and anything chartreuse. Deep diving husky jerk is like jig bite it has slowed down a lot, not that they still are not using and catching on them, everyone has seem to move on to other baits.
