Is it just me or is that not a terrible place to check boats! It is a bad enough bottleneck at that spot with normal traffic going in and out. and the docks and pilings are not at al all well padded. I don't at all mind being checked, but anyone passing lamberjacks gas is going to either a turtle creek or fenweck dock or ramp. Why not do it there for safety and to prevent risk of damage to boats? They could get in just as many checks.
They stopped boats there last year some and I thought it was foolish.
The dnr showed up at fenwick about 6:30 pm and was checking boats at the ramp.couple guys did not leave the skin on the fish.i beleive they received a warning only.
