Been fishin there for 25+ years, never seen it like this, if you r a slinger , get here now! I'll be out in the AM!
The jig action is good as long as the water stays cool. The first weekend in May normally is the end of the jig bite, but this year may change that idea.
Mid 50's to 58 water temps is the change to worms and small spinners.
The surface temp now may say alittle warm. But 15-20 ft down its noce and cool. The walleye jig bite is around the spawn and the walleye are near finished spawning by 52 deg. or so. Long daylight time gets em going also. If the next few weeks stay cool the water temp will stay low and prolong the jig bite.
Last week 85 deg and this week frost warnings. Mother nature trying to cope with "global warming".
