west sister perch

4 guys 120 perch 32 pounds at cleaners west of west sister 1/2 mile. spreders with minnows had smaller minnows also used homemade crappie rig both produced fish. trick was to lay it in mud and pullup slow very light bite . line get heavy and set the hook threw back 30 small ones dozen sheaphead and 2 dozen white bass and perch. left dock at 830 back at noon.46/o7 line nice day had a 2 ft chop. tried 22 ft of water off wards with no sucess a few smell ones water was dirty in area so we moved out. lots of trollers in area,drifters and perching.tried to post yesterday but didnt find it today must of done something wrong.this was yesterdays trip

Started at gravel pit, slow perch and alot of junk, plus wife "complained" about the bugs so moved about 1 mile west of westsister, 26 fow. Limit in 90 mins. and thats with me baiting and getting fish off for my wife. Had bling, just off the bottom, lots of doubles, mostly 8-10s and had 8 that were 11+. Great day on the lake. 60 total 15 pounds. Thank god my wife complained.

Rscott - Thanks for the tip. Had a good day today a mile or two NW of W. Sister. Stopped well short of the pack that was much further out. Not hot and heavy but steady pick. Every time I would think of moving out to the pack, picked up a nice one. Ended up sitting same spot whole day. Finished at 2 PM - three tickets for 3 guys. Nice eating grade, 8-9 and some 10-11. Went 26 pounds at cleaners for 3.5 per lb avg. Threw back a bunch below 7.5" Very light bite. Tons of trash fish - white bass, white perch farm animals and three Fish Ohio rock bass!

Oh - and no bugs!

went west of west sister same spot lots of boats in area on friday 2 guys 20 pounds 2 hours. saturday well we got to spot and found our minnow bucket knocked over lost half of 7 dozen very slow start counted fish when we ran out of bait had 85 so we cut up some white bass and got 25 more finished 10 short 4 guys biggest 13 1/4 all on spreaders on the bottom 29 pounds at cleaners its getting hot in this area with some nice fish all 8- 13 inches going out monday morn sunburt now home on computer drinking beer and having pizza

went west of island 28 ft of water 2 guys 60 perch 23 pounds we sorted for an hour and kept 9 inches and bigger then at 10.00 they slowed down and i was wishing we kept some of the smaller ones had 52 fish at 10 and had threw back 100 smaller then 9 inches took us and hour to get the last 8 biggest 12 inches spreaders and shinners must be on bottom
