fished friday and saturday north of kellys shoal. 4 walleyes on friday and 2 on saturday, trolling with 40 jets and dipseys. not much luck with the perch either.
2 of the walleyes that i cleaned had red spots inside their belly area, i've never seen that before. Also we lost a monster walleye it was was about 15 feet from the boat when we lost it, when we brought the lure in it had a white bass on it, never had that happen before. did anyone catch any perch this weekend.
My females had red spots too. I've seen this many times after the spawn the females sometimes have those ulcer type wounds from carrying the eggs. At least thats when I've always seen them. All my fish had empty stomachs so they should be pretty hungry. All we need is some good weather to clear the lake.
Fished the area around Gull Island North of Kelleys Saturday. Trolled everything we could think of with planer boards. Couldn't get any hits. Seemed as though we couldn't get the boat to go slow enough. Fished same area today with worm harnesses and jigs and caught 3 white bass. Nice weather, but crappy fishing.
