where to catch steelhead

I was wanting to try and catch some steelhead out in the lake i dock in port clinton and will travel to find them, i have a good idea that they are more towards lorain but not too sure any help would be good. And do they go after spoons like the walleye? I have only fished for them in the river so i'm new to lake fishing for them. Thanks

It is early. Give it a month and they will be schooled up tight to the East and North East.

Where would a good place for me to try? the closer the better ill be going out of port clinton
