Vermillion Perch
Went out of vermillion river, about 1 1/2 miles, 2 men 2 limits, had about a 10 to 1 ratio jacks to females, about half the females still had eggs, returned them to lake, this is the 2nd trip in last two weeks, did well both times.
Have a question if anyone can answer it.
Both trips was a high count of jacks to females, first trip was about a 6 to 1 ratio, 2nd trip was about 10 to 1 ratio. Would this be a normal ratio?
The reason im asking is on both trips cought limits, but only about 15 were females with eggs.

perch
When perch spawn they usually spawn one ripe female to four or five males, and the female may lay up to a six foot long strand of eggs, the bigger thhe female the longer the strand, thus more males needed to fertilize the eggs.
