Hmmmm...can't say I gave ever used a hair jig for perch....will be watching this thread with interest....
I meant perch rigs w hair. Not bare hooks. Like a perch pounder setups.
So far this year it has been yellow for us.

I've caught many perch on just about every color: orange, green, red, and silver seem to produce best.
Definitely tip it with a minnow. I am partial to emerald shiners if you can get em. other shiners work ok when the perch are hungry.
Light action rod as those it has been a very light bite. Watch that rod tip for the slightest tap-tap.
